I can already tell that today will NOT be a good day.

And numbers
And equations,
Reading off of a board,
Taking notes that
Will never get

Some things will stick,
But they mean nothing.
They taught me to obey
Because there is danger
In creating. If they can
Fill eager minds with
Pointless things
Then there will be
No resources
For a rebellion.

Nope. Didn’t get anything. At least there’s food.
